Do you really believe in yourself?

Probably not all the time.
More times than I care to admit, I haven't.
You think your success in just around the corner, if you can get that magic plan, that silver bullet to remove all the obstacles holding you back.
But it’s not the marketing plan, or the fancy website, or the killer elevator speech that are your obstacles to success.
Guess who your most significant obstacle is?
YOU!.
The important work, the critical work you want to do, doesn't come with a map. It follows a different path.
The Bhagavad-Gita says, "It's better to follow your own path however imperfectly, than to follow someone else's perfectly."
You need to learn to trust yourself, even when you are making all kinds of mistakes and do-overs.
You get frustrated with yourself, beat yourself up, and become discouraged.
That is natural. Yet it doesn't help you move forward toward your goals.
Your work matters. You matter.
You have more leverage today than ever before.
You need to remind yourself that the question isn't "Can you do this?" because you have already done things that have made a positive difference in others' lives.
Your question is, will you do the complex, messy, uncomfortable stuff to make a positive difference in the lives of others?
Now you need to do that again, but more so.
Skill is not talent.
Attitudes are skills
You become creative when you ship the work
Passion is a choice
You didn't learn to ride a bike from a book.
Your success will come from your failures
Everything is hard before its easit'son't judge your outcomesbys your scorecard.
You will only frustrate yourself.
Judge your process, instead. Judge your commitment and willingness to try again, again, and again.
When something doesn't work, stop yourself and look at your process. Change what isn't working and try again.
What does an ant do when you put your foot in its path?
It goes around, under, and over your foot and doesn't give up.
Don't you give up either.
You will only change when you change your actions.
It's too hard to try to change your mind, as the stories you tell yourself have been playing in your mind as reruns for years.
Change your actions, your habits, your behavior, and the mind will follow.
Make your life better.
Being creative is a choice and creativity is contagious.
You can do this.
You already have.
Act.
Believe in yourself.
